Silverstar jumped onto tallstump, and balanced herself there before yowling for RiverClan to gather. She had important ceremonies to hold. |

Once every cat gathered Silverstar nodded for Summerpaw and Autumnpaw to step forward. She said, "Willowpool and Timberflight you are now ready to take on apprentices. Willowpool will be mentor to Autumnpaw and Timberflight will be mentor to Summerpaw. You have shown yourselves to be warriors of loyalty and strength. I'm sure you will pass on all you know to these apprentices."
Timberflight smiled and padded forward to press his nose to Summerpaw.

Autumnpaw touched noses with her new mentor happily. She hoped Willowpool would be a great mentor. She was eager to please her new mentor.
Summerpaw did the same with Timberflight; she touches noses in respect.
Cherryblossom cheered for her half sisters; Lionfang dipped his head in respect. He respected the two sister apprentices. Dawnshadow looked annoyed; yet happy. They weren't mentored to Midnightclaw; but they were still she-cats! Competition!

Willowpool touched noses with her new apprentice. She felt pride racing through her. She stepped back to let the clan welcome Autumnpaw.
Sleetpaw padded over and purred a congratulations.

The two apprentices looked down on thier clan proudly. They would be great apprentices! They would always try thier hardest!

Autumnpaw looked up at Silverstar; She hoped the new deuty would be a great and courageous cat. Many cats in the clearing would suit the job perfectly.

Silverstar scannd the clearing for the cat and smild when she spotted him. "I say these words before StarClan so they may hear me and approve of my choice. The new deputy of RiverClan will be Leopardfang . RiverClan hopes that you will pass on your wisdom and courage to others."

"Leopardfang!" Graytalon began to chant the new deputies name.
Dovewing, Rainpaw, and Timberflight also took up in the chanting.

Leopardfang looked up at Silverstar with shock. His bright green eyes full of disbelief. There were many more experienced warriors who could have been deputy. he had thought the cat he looked up to; Lionfang, would have been made deputy.
The black warriors with little white spots on his flank padded over to the new deputy.
"Good job," Lionfang mewed, "You will be a great deputy" That meant more to Leopardfang than anyone else would know. He jumped up next Silverstar.
"I will do my best to serve our clan.... I nevere thought, even for a moment, that I would get the chance to be clan deputy..."
"Leopardfang!" celebrated Autumnpaw and Summerpaw.
