Honeykit blinkedher eyes open for the forst time. She took in everything around her. She looked to her right and saw the brown tabby fur of her brother, Thornkit, to her right lay her sister, Nightkit. Her fur was pitch black. She yawned as she looked at her mother. My mother is bautiful, she thought. She had sleek black fur. Honeykit looked at her fluffy ornage fur and frownd. I don't look like my mother...

When Thornkit blinked his eyes open, the first thing he saw was the sleek black fur of his mother, Willowpelt.

Nightkit looked down at her paws and saw that they were pitch black just like her mothers Pride flowed through her
