Minnowfur watched Specklewing drift into a sleep.

When Specklewing opened her eyes she was in a dream. She looked around to see a StarClan cat and she knew it was her time to join them. "Watch over Rainkit," coughed Specklewing. Then her spirit drifted from her body.

Minnowfur sighed sadly. She new it was over. Specklewing had hide that she was sick for too long. "I will..." Minnowfur mewed slowley.

Rainkit couldn't help herself she ran into the medicine cat's den. "Is mommy ok?" she asked.
Specklewing looked around and new she was in StarClan.

Minnowfur flinched. She twitched her ears. "No. She's in StarClan now."
Mistyfoot padded over to Specklewing. She flashed a sad look at the kit. "Rainkit will be fine. Come." She turned and padded away.
Echostream padded in to get Rainkit. She looked at Minnowfurs sad face and then Specklewing's body. "Oh..." She mewed.

Rainkit fell down and began crying.
Iceclaw pricked his ears as he heard his kit and he ran to the medicine cat's den. When he saw his mate's body and choked and asked, "What... happened?"
Specklewing followed Mistyfoot with one last glance at her daughter and mate. She soon ran into a silver she-cat. (silverstream)

Iceclaw hung his head and blinked back teears. He had to be brave for his kit. He walked over and licked her.
Silverstream smiled at Specklewing and mewed, "Hello. Your family will be fine. Trust me..." She had left her kits when she died.

Minnowfur padded over to Echostream and sniffed her. Minnowfur let out a mew of shock.
