Featherpaw padded into the training hollow and twitched her tail nervously.

[♥Moonsilver♥]

Squirrelpaw bounded through behind Featherpaw. Solarstorm had agreed to bring her along too!

[Solarstar]

A pure white figure was padding along toward the training hollow to meet her new apprentice. Her ice blue eyes shimmered as the light streamed through the bare branches of the trees showing that leaf bare had started taking its course. Solarstorm was padding up to the entrance when she scented Featherpaw and Squirrelpaw. She entered the snow covered clearing and noticed the two apprentices standing in the middle of the hollow. She padded up to them and sat down her tail curled neatly over her paws. "Hello you two. Are you ready for training today?" She meowed in her sweet musical voice. Her eyes seemed so soft and kind unlike when she is in battle.

Featherpaw mewed nervously "Yes" Her tail twitched. She wasn't sure how she would like battling, but at least she had a great mentor. A leaf fell on the ground and she jumped.

Squirrelpaw laughed and batted Featherpaw's ears. "It's just a leaf, silly!" she turned to Solarstorm, "You bet I'm ready!"

[Solarstar]

Solarstorm smiled and looked at the two apprentices. "Good. Today we will be working on our hunting techniques." She meowed noticing the look on Featherpaw's face. She looked over to Squirrelpaw. "Squirrelpaw, show me what you know so far." She meowed a little more determined this time around.

Squirrelpaw showed Solarstorm the tricks she'd learned from her own mentor.

[Solarstar]

Solarstorm smiled at the smaller cat. She watched as she demonstrated the moves that she had already learned from her mentor. As she noticed one flaw in her moves she cleared her throat. "You're doing great Squirrelpaw. Although you need to watch where you're landing. Your tail almost crashed into those dry leaves and that would scare away your prey." She meowed giving the apprentice a tip.

Squirrelpaw nodded, irritated with herself. She'd known to watch for it, but she kept forgetting!

Featherpaw shrunk back as she watched her fellow apprentice.

[Solarstar]

Solarstorm smiled. She remembered how much of a hard time she had hunting. She was pure white so she was noticed almost every time. She smiled to herself then looked at her apprentice, Featherpaw. "Alright Featherpaw, although I am your mentor, I noticed that the apprentices showed you some hunting skills right before your ceremony. What did they teach you?" She asked the slightly smaller apprentice.

Featherpaw mewed slowly. "What types of stalking to use for each creature and how to do them... I'm not sure if im good at it though..."

[Solarstar]

Solarstorm tilted her head. 'She really is the shy type.' She thought in her mind. "Ohreally? Lets see what you can do." She meowed, knowing she would do good. She believed in her apprentice.

Featherpaw did all the stalks perfectly. "Was that ok?" she mewed shrinking back.

[Solarstar]

Solarstorm grinned at the young cat. She was amazed at her talent. "That was perfect! Great job Featherpaw!" She exclaimed. 'I knew you could do it.' She thought.
